Pinsk police in response to ‘To Ukraine’s Glory’ slogan: “We will put you down face in the ground for that”

Police threatens Pinsk residents for chanting slogans in support of the neighboring country.

“On 6 September a bunch of us were walking by policemen: there are lots of them here in every 10 meters because of the Dazhynki festival. One of us chanted ‘To Ukraine’s Glory!’ – in response we got immediately approached by four policemen, took our passports and said: “Do you think what you say? For such words we can easily put you down face in the ground. Next time think”. That is the kind of freedom of speech we have”, - he told.

We would remind that regional Dazhynki festival is taking place in Pinsk.
