Security services shadowing Mikalai Autukhovich

Several people in mufti were spying on Mikalai Autukhovich before the presentation of the book “Worm” by Zmitser Dashkevich.

The event was held in Vaukavysk recently. First the former political prisoner noticed a young guy with a baby carriage. He was standing in front of the building where the event was to take place, watching those who were present.

“I already know them by sight. On top of that, he was just standing and watching. It looked as if he was counting the number of people,” Mikalai Autukhovich said to Viasna human rights centre.

As said by the activist, later two more persons joined this “onlooker”. They also kept an eye on the actions of the audience of the event. One of them was talking on the phone all the time. When activists tried to come up to “observers” to ask what they were interested in, they ran away.
