Ivashkevich: Our position remains unchanged

Only people without principles can run in the “parliamentary election”, the politician thinks.

“Nothing has changed since last year. What changes in our position are possible? Only people without principles can change their mind.”

Viktar Ivashkevich, a representative of the organizing committee to create the Belarusian Movement, commented to Belorusski Partizan on appointing the “parliamentary election” for September 23.

“We have expressed our position several time since the beginning of the year: we will not go to ballot stations and call on people to do the same. Our position remains unchanged. We took this decision taking into account the particular situation, not the political environment. The regime still keeps political prisoners, the electoral legislation has not been amended. What changes in our position are possible? Only people without principles can change their mind,” Viktar Ivashkevich said.
