Yarmoshyna: TV debate will be stopped after words “All go to Square!”

Pre-election speeches and TV debates among parliamentary candidates will be shown on tape delay.

This announcement was made on Thursday by Lidzia Yarmoshyna, the head of the Central Election Commission (CEC).

“It was decided that speeches of parliamentary candidates and TV debates would be shown on tape delay,” Yarmoshyna says. She notes that due to a great number of candidates, it's most likely that not all of them will take part in TV debates.

“It's difficult to organize live broadcasting for everyone,” Yarmoshyna says. She stressed TV debates will be stopped if the permitted time runs out or after calls “All go to the Square!” “We do not have the right to call to unsanctioned events on air,” Yarmoshyna stressed.
